Born and raised in Albany, Mick left in 1983 to study and work. He graduated from Curtin in 1987 and was licensed in 1990 under the guidance of Bob Ptolomey, gaining experience in and around the Perth metropolitan area and also spending time on Christmas Island facilitating the expansion of the airport access road and link to the Christmas Island casino. After establishing his career, Mick returned to Albany in August 1994 to work at John Kinnear and Associates. In 2006, Mick bought in as a partner and continued providing his surveying expertise until the partnership was amicably dissolved in June 2025. During his 30+ years as a licensed surveyor Mick has had the extensive experience in all facets of surveying and has spent a significant amount of time on urban and rural subdivisions and boundary re-establishment surveys in and around Albany, the Great Southern, Wheatbelt, and Esperance areas.
